In the municipality of Tognon, in the Aosta Valley, LignoAlp has completed a multi-storey residential building with five residential units, constructed using timber. The project was designed by Idealab Architects, and a lightweight timber-frame construction method was chosen.
The building was prefabricated at the LignoAlp factory: windows and French doors, shading systems, the external thermal insulation composite system, the window sills and even the rear-ventilated façade were all installed at the factory. The façade cladding consists of vertical spruce boards painted in an ash-grey shade.
