Promoted by È.one abitarègenerativo S.r.l. in collaboration with Cooperativa Sociale Namasté, Generavivo is an initiative of Abitare Condividere Coop. Edilizia, designed to offer a residential experience that combines private family spaces with shared areas aimed at fostering social interaction and a sense of community.
A Cutting-Edge Project for a New Way of Living
Generavivo represents a step forward from traditional housing models. Sixty households—more than 100 individuals—have chosen to invest in this project, giving life to a residential model based on active participation and shared living. The design of the spaces was shaped through constant dialogue among residents, who were able to express their needs and desires, actively contributing to the decisions concerning their living environment.
The project, created by studio Planeo, stands out for its strong focus on social, economic, and environmental sustainability. Despite challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, rising material costs, and inflation, the Generavivo community has shown great resilience and confidence in the future, actively supporting the initiative's development.
LignoAlp’s Contribution
As part of this ambitious project, LignoAlp was responsible for the structural engineering, technical design, and on-site installation, delivering the rough structure using high-quality materials with low environmental impact. Specifically, LignoAlp built the external walls in cross-laminated timber (X-Lam), as well as beam-and-slab floors and roofs, ensuring excellent performance in terms of thermal insulation, structural strength, and living comfort.
Key Figures of the Generavivo Project in Bergamo:
4 buildings, each with 4 above-ground floors
64 residential units
Approx. 500 m² of covered shared spaces
Total residential surface area of 5,491 m²
4,700 m² of green areas and inner courtyard
Generavivo is set to become a benchmark for the future of sustainable and shared housing. We are proud to have contributed to the construction of the Generavivo buildings—an initiative that fully embodies the values at the heart of LignoAlp’s mission: sustainability, community, and innovation in living. Through the use of natural materials and an inclusive, participatory approach, Generavivo demonstrates how it is possible to responsibly and collectively build the future of housing.
